Lady is getting into the sport and really loves the HM 796. Has anyone ridden both extensively? I am wondering about two things specifically.

1. Wind tearing at 70+, in comparison on both bikes.
2. Grunt. Same or more on the Monster?

We have to ride from Newport Beach to Canyon "X" which would be Malibu, Topanga, etc. So quite a ride from home to destination and back.

Man, no replies? OK, here's one. My wife also has a hyper. She went for the 1100s and loves every minute of it. My brother just bought a monster and now wishes he had bought the hyper. Once you go hyper, you never go back.
As far as the wind goes, it really isn't a big deal. Yes, there is some pushing on your chest, but there is a sweet spot when leaning forward on the bike that reduces the amount of wind pushing against you.
I suppose, in short, buy the hyper.
