best OTD price for 2010 1198
I'm planning to buy a new 2010 ducati 1198 at Pro Italia in Glendale. A friend is coming with me who knows a guy and we'll both be buying one at the same time. He mentions we'll most likely be getting a really good deal for the reasons mentioned above. The starting OTD price I'm thinking about is $15,500 and my max would probably be the MSRP.. waddya guys think? is it possible? if recommendations to dealers that give awesome OTD prices?

MSRP, or just under, would be a great deal. Not sure you'll get that, but doesn't hurt to try

When ever I buy cars or bikes , I always consider the price
that includes all the dealer fee and excludes Tax, Title and Registration..Because they vary by state/county..and I dont mind travelling a few hundred miles when the price difference is significant..
I bought my 1198S from a dealer about 400 miles away , got it shipped and even then it was way significantly lower than the quoted local price...
Call up other few dealers around your area...

Wow..didnt know that.....
When you say that its hard to get out of state bike registered.. Did you mean , they will not allow registration, or do they require a lot of documentation that's not worth the trouble?
I Just checked CA DMV website and the only thing I have noticed is
If you are a California resident and acquire a new car, truck or motorcycle from another state, it must be certified to meet California smog laws in order to be registered here
For a motorcycle check the frame or refer tp your owner's manual. The label should read that the vehicle conforms to California regulations, or that it is legal for sale in California.
What comes next...You cannot move out of california unless you have lived here for 15 yrs?
hehehe...

If you can get a 1198 for around $12K you better buy every one they have! I haven't seen a 1198 anywhere near that price.
That is literally thousands of dollars cheaper then any thing I have seen. I'm going to have to say the dealer is BSing you, either that or he is going to add a lot of extra fees before it's over.

You got a 2010 1198S for 15K?? Tell me who he is cause I'm buying 2. That's, at a minimum, 6K cheaper than anyone else I've ever seen. I know mine was 6K more than that. How many does this guy have left?
